I has to be the pollen. I missed all that fun. You gots to be careful here. Back in the 70's, (yeah Im that old) I joined a 4x4 club and they did not have many stickers or shirts except for the older guys that had been there forever and never made anymore. I wanted some. Finally got approval to have them made and then, 3 or 4 of us went almost every weekend wheeling somewhere wearing them and shooting pictures. We were told by the "old" guys that if there were not 5 or more vehicles it was not an official function of the club and we could not have the decals and wear our shirts. That is the last thing I joined until Hummer X. Oh, and the rest of the story, we started a "fun" club and actually went wheeling instead of having meetings and talking about how we used to do it. Most all the members came over from the other club and left the "old" guys with what memories they had left. Caution Will Robinson! I don't want to have to have my HX decals on magnetic sign material. The old club was Razorback 4x4 but we started the Turtles Off Road. I did have the last of two sets put on magnetic material.
Keep up the good work Im having too much fun now. Great group of people. Just another distraction.

To protect the image of the Club for all members and future members, HXC is instituting a new graphics usage policy.

This policy requires that approval for use of the HXC name, graphics, logo, etc. be obtained for any non-official graphic production. Vendors selling HXC branded merchandise may sell only to HXC members and HXC forum users, and in no way will HXC branded merchandise be sold to the general public unless specific approval has been granted.

Approval can be obtained by submitting designs to Rob Sutter (Ipe).

Is the name being trademarked?

So for wheeling videos/pictures we must get approval to add the logo?
What about the logo some have put on myspace pages ect.???

Yaaay I got my membership package. Thanks Ric. I will wear this shirt proudly. It seems better quality and bigger graphics than the CafePress one I got. I will cheerish my stickers. There are three Hummer events at Superlift coming up now. I bet I get asked about Hummer X. They have to look at my stickers when I guide.
The other Rob and I have not met but the Mid-South Hummer X group my meld into a several state chapter. We will talk about that and pass on our ideas to the staff.

Good Morning folks. I see yesterday was quiet but there were a few questions.

In reference to using the Club logo on your MySpace pages, my answer is this:

GO FOR IT!
I know you guys and gals love the Club. I do too. You want to share that with other people so you have the Club logo on your page. I have it on my page as well, and for the same reason. I am all for it, have at it, make it happen!

I'll even make it easier for you guys. Use this code to display the club logo on your MySpace page:

Same answer. Go for it! Although you still may want to have your head examined. Its okay to love your Club, but if you're going to LOVE your Club! Well, please do it in private.

Finally, I want everyone to know this. This policy is not to get all official, administrative, bureaucratic, or even draconian. No, not at all. This policy is to protect you and the Club. We are growing as a club. We are growing rapidly. In doing that we are attracting attention and possible scrutiny. We do not want to infringe upon held copyrights nor do we want to create graphics that may not be in the best interests of the Club. Thats it.

Keep having fun! Keep up the good work! If you've got a design idea I want to see it!
