Looking for H2 SUT Tonneau Cover

Postby rsmith77 » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:38 pm

I have a '05 H2 SUT that has all the OEM tonneau hardware installed, just no cover. The guy I bought it from sold the original cover unfortunately. If you have one you would be willing to sell please let me know!

Thanks

GOOD LUCK,

They are extremely hard to find. I had one fall apart a couple of years ago because of abuse and I was lucky enough to find one locally shortly after with the Gobi Rack for $700. I just sold some extra SUT tonneau hardware I was keeping as spares because a friend was having a hard time finding the parts, all I can say is keep looking and keep your fingers crosssed.

Hey Ross, they pop up on CL from time to time. I'd think the big problem would be shipping something that big. Where are you located?
I stumble across stuff like this on occasion, I'll let you know when I find one. I've seen a couple sell recently for around $600-$800, plus you gotta figure out the shipping.
Good luck----

I have actually never used them but have heard a number of times that you can ship larger items via Greyhound fairly cheap. It might not be the fastest or the most convenient but they have buses going everywhere.

Aluminum cover pictures. Doesn't lift up but does lock.

Like the pictures...how is the weather proofing working out? I'm interested in doing something very similar...

The weatherproofing is great, it occasionally gets a little damp in the bed when it rains really hard and there are puddles that splash up into the bed through the drain plugs in the bottom of the bed. Could probably cover those slots and it would take care of the issue but I'm not real concerned.

The weather stripping used was just from Lowes and cost around ten bucks for the roll. had 3M stick tape on the back and was really easy to apply, I just made sure the aluminum was good and clean before I did it.

Thanks
