We spent the day removing paint from my doors at Bills 491 Off Road Park in Pendelton County, Kentucky. It was a cool place with plenty of friendly people, miles and miles of trails, a creek, hills, mud, rock, and trails. Don't attempt the trails, however if you're squeamish about tearing up your paint. I wiped out both sides in a few hours. The trails are heavily timbered and really need to be cut back, but what the heck, we just pushed through. Here's some pics...

The water in the creek was only mid wheel for the most part. We got up to the slider in a couple of places. That little Suki died in a deeper spot.

When we came up out of the creek and stopped to talk to some other wheelers, this guy dropped from my undercarriage!

Dude
Is your wife bugging you about the scratches? I scratched mine at Wildomar OHV and she would stop bugging me about it until I buffed them out with Nu Finish Scratch Doctor.
Why is it making that noise?

Now that looks like a fun place to have a good time. Scratches are part of the game if you wheel much as I am sure you know. A light buffing will take the edge off the look and a thorough buff job will probably completely remove them. My wife said forget it because we will just put some more on next month. She likes showing off the battle scars at work. :D

Wife didn't like the scratches, but she wanted to go may faster all the time. I tried to explain we weren't doing that then some Razor would come blasting by and she be on me again. She thnks the H2 is too big for wheeling, and frankly, for eastern US it is a bit of a chore. I like it's turning radius, but it gets scratched and banged up every time out, maybe I'll use it tow some razors and do that for awhile!

Nice pics and nice looking family! Thanks for sharing..

Glad to see you found some time to get it out and have some fun - you need the time out with your family:)

If you don't already have the OEM length Cognito end links (actually are 1" taller than stock), this would be a good time to add them. Might even pick up an extra set of the upper bushings as spares (the ones that clamp onto the UCAs). When going with some speed over hard jolts, the upper bushings tend to wear out. Their latest batch is poly and I have not had this problem anymore and they are cheap to carry as spares anyhow.

Wow! That looks like a steep hill! It's nice to see another H2 out there with the whole family. I have threeboys and a girl, 11, 9, 5, and 4. They love it. My wife was skeptical at first, but she was won over on the first trip. My daughter gets scared and wants to know how far we are tipping, but as soon as we make it over she cheers and says it was cool. :D Nice family and truck.

Looks like a great time and the big hill sure does look steep. Pin stripping is definitely an issue out here in the east but I have learned to live with it. Every time I think about buffing them all out I talk myself out of it because I will be doing it all again soon enough :wall:

I do need to replace the front endlinks with the cognito pieces. It was a rear link that snapped. With all that freeing up work I did back there it really wants to move!

Thanks!

The boys love wheeling. The wife is so-so. She thinks it should be a baja run, flat out and all that. At one memorable spot we climbed up a semi steep bank on that creek. I didn't know it, but directly on the other side was a ditch running at an angle. As the right front wheel broke over the top (It was airborne) and came crashing down, it went straight into the ditch. We dammed near rolled over! The boys were screaming at 120db the whole time which really made matters easier for me (Not!) Yep, wheeling with kids is an adventure in itself!

I must have missed your return to the states. Welcome back. It's so nice not seeing sand, barren mountains, dirt and rocks everywhere ain't it? Now you have green and water and normal folks! Put that tax-free to good use! You earned it!

Cool pics, looks like you had a fun time with the fam!
