Its Fall and Hunting Season is upon us. Anybody got any trips planned Where ? for What ?

No plans. Hoping to sneak in a trip somewhere with the kids to load up the freezer, but that depends on a lot of moving parts right now.

Going to 2,000 acres of heaven my family owns near Natchez Ms, Thanksgiving or Christmas week. Other than that, I've been tried to squeeze in some wing shooting (dove, quail, etc..) here in Florida, but its hard to find a good tract that nots overcrowded.

It's not quite as easy as I make it sound, I actually have to drive at least 20 miles

and today I spent about four hours with a pack frame packing out a quartered elk. They're not all that much work, I guess that I may be a glutton for punishment because I knew what I was in for when I pulled the trigger. Yesterday on my way to Salt Lake City somebody shot a nice Bull about 200 yards off the highway about 25 miles from my house. That has never happened to me.

Hey 4digr,

I was lucky to draw a hunt in Wyoming in the early 90's for Elk. I know how much work it can be."very tasty work". Hope to get back out one day. Maybe #2 will be a little better. They say a ROKON or Ranger or Argo are good pack mules (if allowed). Whack a good one !

I'm headed after a Black Bear the 12th. Nothing better than stalking one of these.
