You guys know Anza better than me, especially since I know nothing. Can you guys initiate some planning? If we're looking at February, can we do the 21st or 28th? I'm assuming we won't get many people free on the 14th and I'm not available on the 7th.

Sure, I'll start planning something. Let me look at the book tonight and I will see what looks good.

How about Pyeatt Draw sometime this summer? It would be a good escape from the heat Image

Uh, maybe. Last part of the trail, the waterfall, is winch points. That's a bit beyond the scope of my comfort zone. The rest looks ok and as you said would be a good summer trail.

I wouldn't try the last waterfall either - I don't like fixing broken stuff Image. Fortunately, there is an exit right before that obstacle, so it isn't mandatory.

If such a run is set up I would probably choose to camp out up on the Rim Friday and Saturday night. A wheeling+camping trip is the best of both worlds Image

Check out the SoCal thread. Might be on for late Feb, 21st or 28th.

Jan/Feb - Some nice trails around Saquaro Lake leaving from Butcher Jones beach to the coves at the lake, some of the trails can be very challenging, was out this weekend with a friend and had a great time!

Hey HoHummer, welcome to HXC. I love that area - the Rolls/Butcher Jones. Great stuff there. I head there often, especially in summer.
