Cline Ranch, TX - September ?

Postby PhilD » Tue Aug 08, 2006 11:06 am

Who's up for a Cline Ranch trip in September? and what weekend would work best for you?

Not so much rock stuff out there, but plenty to challenge you.

We need a minimum of ten trucks to have the place to ourselves.

I'm up for it Phil :D :) :D :)

I can't do it the first week in Sept but anytime after that is good.

The weekend of the 15th 16th and 17th will work best for us.

I'm in. Just tell me when, any other conflicting plans will be forgotten immediately.

Cool. Jeeps have a much easier time of it at Cline, their size and lighter weight help them a lot.

Okay, looks like we'll be heading to Long Ranch, Kingsland, TX on Sept 23, still awaiting confirmation, but looks like a go.

Long Ranch covers 1345 acres with about 2 miles of the Llano River on the North boundry. If you dont want to wheel real hard they are bypasses and some easy trails for all rig types shapes and sizes.

Here's an idea of some of the terrain :)

BTW Kingsland is about 80 miles north of San Antonio.

Entry to Long Ranch is $20 per rig and $5 per passenger and $5 per night for camping.

Some folks may want to stay overnight in Kingsland and there are a few hotels there.
