well my brother in law was backing down the driveway with his TA drove off the edge down a hill into my portable garage
My 1968 442 got all fuct up
Almost bounced it right out of the garage

As a former yellow 442 owner myself I cringe looking at the damage

Looks like hood/DS fender?bumper buckled and need replaced as does the both headlight bezels/grill/ emblem/front chrome and hood hinges. the drivers door dont open fenders pushed up on it damaging door paint as well as small paint damage to PS fender,hood latch assy and lower radiator brace.The whole car probably has to get repainted.
I hope his insurance company pays up

So just how fast was he backing up in order to hop that curb and go that far over the edge and still have enough momentum to smack something that heavy and move it that far..??

I think he was in reverse and his foot slipped off the clutch or he hit the gas instead of the brake,hes not sure what happened.

Got the word from body shop,They got $6,600 from insurance, I should have the car back in a few weeks.

Body guy had hard time getting a hood,he found one in PA.
Another week or two,Hes still waiting for the front grill parts and front bumper(new).
He had to remove top because of a little rust in the corner,so I will pay about $400.00 out of pocket.
Hes redoing whole car I had some minor rust spots on lower doors and around top( it was painted around 1990,I bought it in 1997)
Getting painted late model camaro yellow.
