How do you like the P22?
I cant decide between the Sig Mosquito or the P22.

its ok...ive got one of the newer ones...at one point they had problems ejecting shells i think...mine does it too well...they go everywhere...

its lightweight and i can fit it in the front pocket of a pair of jeans...

i dont have any accuracy issues, but ive heard some people have...

mine came with 2 or 3 backstraps so its easy to make comfortable to your hand...and its got 3 different front sights you can put on depending on which one fits you the best...

this is kind of weird to me because the front sights just snap in...doesnt seem very reliable in terms of accuracy...but ive not had an issue

the front end of the barrel comes prethreaded for an extension or suppressor if you feel so inclined...or just add the extended barrel

its fairly easy to field strip...but not as easy to put back together...

it comes with a spare plastic guide rod too...

i like it...it was my first handgun and i'll more than likely keep it forever...

oh and ive found that it can be finicky with some ammo...particularly subsonic or whatever its called

i buy the big 550 or 600 count box at walmart of winchester and have no issues with those...but some of the other stuff can cause a FTF or jam

i should also note that i HAD a springfield XD40 but sold it and purchased my G27...which i prefer over the XD...it was a nice gun...shot well...but it didnt fit me well...and i couldnt conceal it as well as i wanted to

Sorry to resurrect this but I'm bored. Apologies for the bad pics. I took them during a moment of weakness when I was considering a trade for a Model 70 375H&H...

And I refuse to take a picture of a dump. Who would do that in their pocket anyway?

The guys at the factory claim it will shoot.

ahem...bump after almost a year...

i bought a new gun

sold the walther p22 to a friend for $300 a couple months ago...turned around and bought this last week

Ruger LCP .380

what it comes with for $299.99

size comparison to a G27 .40

i havent had a chance to shoot it yet as .380 is almost impossible to find but i have some on order with cabelas...the size is great...easy to throw in a pocket (with a proper holster) or strap to my vest as a backup...

its easy to break down...has a locked breech system...and a glock style extractor...its a somewhat improved design of the Kel-Tec p3AT...which i had looked at but heard some stuff about the reliability of Kel-Tecs and this one is supposed to be a LOT more reliable

Watch out, that .380 is a snappy little bastard. My partner just bought one as an off duty concealment weapon and it really wants to just fly out ofyour hand.

Thanks...it's been a good gun. I do have to say, coming from a previous anti Glock guy, the 23 is the nightstand gun now.

It's the Streamlight M3. I have been really happy with it. It has a good battery life and a good cone of light. I'm sure there are more durable lights out there but for the money ($100ish) it has served it's purpose (read not tacticool just reliable home defense). I will say, at 3am, jumping up from a dead sleep it's REALLY bright! ;)

In the past few months, I have updated the handgun inventory. Both purchased on Gunbroker and transferred via my friendly pawn shop (FFL) owner in downtown Moab. :D

Purchased one of these in 9mm with two 17-round mags. Beretta offered an extra (3rd) mag for free and they shipped it within a week of sending in the form.

Image

Then a few weeks later, purchased one in .40 with three 14-round mags and mailed in the form again to Beretta and received a 4th 14-round mag.

I have shot for many years, but I have to say that out of the box, hand held (not on a bench) these suckers were the most accurate I have ever shot. Either that or I'm getting better with old age. :wall:

Bothare PX4 models, both are Version F. I'll probably conver to Version G in a month or two. TheF has a safety, you can see it on the slide.G is just a decocker. With the F if you push the lever down it decocks the hammer, but remains down in safe mode. That means after I decock, I have to manually raise it back up. The G has the same lever, but when you push it down it decocks but springs back up. To convert, just remove a ball and a small spring.
Thank you, USVibrant.
