If I'm around I'd love to.

You should join us for our next SoCal run up to Cleghorn Ridge on February 27th. Put it through the ropes.

I knew those H3's would look great with a solid axle up front. Mark, we can start cutting into yours next week if you want hehehehee I did not realize the transfercase drop was passenger side? We can steal Donnie's axles hehehe Great build Recon!

I knew you would like it. We could start next weekend but it wouldn't be ready for Jellico :where:

If we have any upcoming spotting issues I am taking his axles :yup:

I am really surprised he didn't have to go higher. Didn't you have to go 6"-8" with the SAS on your truck?

Did a lot of measuring before starting the project. Limited the up travel. What amazed me is that even 40s cycled well without an issues :)

Oh you wanted it done right :wall: Look at it this way, if it's not done by Jellico I get to use those sweet KM2's on bad @$$ beadlocks! :D

Take is 39" Krawlers too, and everyone will be happy..... well except for Donnie.

A lot of my issues had to do with the steering box location. I could only push the axle so far forward without moving it. The H3 came with rack&pinion steering so when doing the swap on this H3 they were probably able to put the new steering bo further forward making room fr the axle to get away from the fenders. But I am speculating. Hey Recon, I don't mind volunteering to test it out while your gone? This way when you get back, all the little bugs will have been worked out

We used a JK steering box so we could keep it up above the frame. This allowed us to keep it tucked up and forward. Worked out perfectly. You can see it in the pics. Nice try Gator :) Get in line.

Ok, I see what your real goal was now

That works for me, but it will be Donnie's fault so he can only blame himself

Great idea and the added bonus of a stronger system 8)

I hope they are making at least 2 or 3 of everything. Once it is completed I'm sure there will be others that will visit that shop for the SA conversion! Except for the slant back, I'll be one of them!
No longer here due to USVibrants "rants".

Just got my OnStar report in my email. All except airbags are running perfectly. Airbags is because interior still isn't finished. It's great news because it means all he custom work is compatible with OEM setup. They guy that's building the suspension/conversion said he wanted to make it a "kit". All the bracketry was laser cut and designed in CAD. Whether he decides to keep selling them will be up to him.

Here it is with 40s :) Don't get too excited because that's not the final setup. Once rims come back from paint it will be mounted with 37s. Still ironing out some minor details. Will try to ramp it and get pics ASAP. Looks like I'll be able to make it to the Cars & Coffee next to the Irvine Spectrum this Saturday. Will keep everyone posted.

Look BAD with 40s but I think you will be a lot happier with the 37s on there 8)

I know, but it's a simple fact that it won't fit in my garage with 40's :) 37s will be better for everyday use.
