That is some great looking suspension. Can you post up some events coming up where you will be running? I have always wanted to make a road trip out that way and shoot some pictures and video of an event. Like I need an excuse but it helps my motivation.

Congrats Rob, great work Jason!!

Like Hunner asked, what's the race schedule look like? And will we see you out at King of the Hammers?

Edit for Tech question:

What weight springs did you use on the coilovers?

The H1 racer looks great. That thing has some sweet travel.

not sure KOH is the place for a trophy truck? But I'd still like to go -- I know Hobie Smith...love to watch the carnage.

as far as the racing schedule -- Last time I spoke with Rob he wanted to do a bunch of smaller local races (Barstow) to work the bugs out/get it tuned up before jumping into a big race again. It would be great to be ready by the V2R this summer!

Thanks Ron,

For KOH I wasn't think racing but just coming out and running around down there. There are some great lake beds in Outer Limits would be cool to see the Class 8 Hummer Run.

I think Roger Norman is building a car for KOH this year too. BJ Baldwin was there last year. It's a great crossover event.

It's amazing to see how many changes Jason made to the Hummer suspension - I've been watching over on RaceDezert 8)

Maybe Rob will come Bebe? A big event like that might not be the place to test the truck though...who knows? I think the KOH trucks/buggies are the perfect compromise do-anything/go-anywhere vehicles. We were doing some repairs next to a few during V2R...as a matter of fact, all I remember iz doing repairs thanks to the sweep vehicle and it's tow from hell!

Yes, GMR is awesome. I was ready to pull the trigger on some 3" Kings, bumps and heavier limit straps...but emergency dental work which equalled GMR's estimate was needed more so I will have to wait :-(

Just curious why you chose the skidguards that you did? Are those a set similar to (or maybe even made by) HummerDan? They're 4 times heavier than the stock aluminum ones; I figured if you were racing you'd save weight where you could. Obviously, that style of skid guards is tough as nails. I have 'em on my truck and love them, so I have nothing against them.

I used to make the HardCore skid guards before Hummer Dan started making them after I didn't have time--these are an aluminum version, I have stainless steel pair on my daily driver

Ooh aluminum ones?? Nice! No rust! I think I would've preferred aluminum if I had a choice, but the steel is very heavy duty and should take a lickin'.

Yeah yeah, you and your D-Max.
