Trip to Daytona Beach

Postby Humman » Mon Dec 28, 2015 1:57 pm

Just came back from Daytona... lovely small town with big racing history. I didn't know they still let people drive on the beach - loved it! Had to strip my truck to original config for long trip, and was surprised how smooth and easy ride it was for > 5K. Did Daytona-Toronto in one day :-)

My kid loved the trip, and made few videos...

Good looking H3. You were just about 45 minutes down the highway from me, hope you had a great visit to FL.

What did you use to replace the fact hood vent?

Thanks, I stripped my H3 to (almost) factory config. Didn't want to ride on my 35" and carry winch and roof rack, etc... Florida trip was awesome. Will definitely go back one day, or may be when I retire :-)

I replaced plastic hood louver with http://hoodlouvers.com/hummer/ but didn't cut wholes for vents - since I live in rain/snow/salt belt and don't want all that stuff in my engine compartment.

Thanks for the link, will have to check them out. We get plenty of rain down here but also looking to help with cooling.
