Hi from South Florida

Hi Everyone!

People thought I was crazy for trading a C6 Z-51 Vette for my 2008 H3 Adventure but in all honestly I haven't missed the Vette at all.

I love the H3 because it is a capable all wheel drive that rides and drives like a luxury car, or as I like to say, a magic carpet.

I know we don't buy Hummers for mileage but I'm determined to get mine up to consistent 20+ mpg so the first thing I'm doing is installing a HHO (oxyhydrogen) generator on it which I'm about half way through with. I really don't know if this will work but I am taking my time and doing it right so I can prove to myself firsthand one way or another. If anyone else is doing or has done this I'd love to hear from you.

The Hummer runs great the only problem I've had is an erratic idle on start up(after it sits a few hours)...dang thing goes to 1000rpm's and then after a few seconds up to about 1300rpm's, down until it almost stalls and then evens out and runs great from there on out. Tried the obvious, cleaned the MAF, changed TB but still no change...ugh..So if anyone has any ideas in that area I'd really be grateful.

Thanks,

Michael

Welcome from the North.

Can't wait for the final verdict on the HHO (oxyhydrogen) generator!

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

So far with the HHO only, no gains in MPG but I think the issue is the computer. Yesterday I installed a "chip" designed for cars with HHO that is supposed to address the computer challenge. I'll update on whether it works or not.
