LLR motor for Rodeo, Colorado and Hummer

Postby Trigger » Sat Nov 02, 2013 4:40 pm

I have just managed the biggest 4wd project I was ever silly enough to take on and although it was a lot of work, I now am proud of my baby H3.
After replacing the original engine with a motor capable of towing the loaded up H3, camping gear, fridge, tents, swags, and complete camper trailer and all through soft beach sand, I now have my smaller but very capable LLR motor up for sale.
It has less than 28 000 kilometers on it and has everything you need for a complete transfer. Engine, mounts, bellhousing, radiator and shrouds, serpentine belts, entire wiring harness, intake, O2 sensors, alternator, starter motor, air conditioning compressor and lots more. Call me on 0417753599 if you would like to discuss.

What is an LLR motor? Give us some specs of the motor. Tell us more about the project.

According to the Wiki article I found:

The LLR (also called Vortec 3700), is a straight-5 truck engine. It displaces 3.7 L (3,653 cc or 223 cu in),
courtesy of a larger 95.5 mm (3.76 in) bore while keeping the 102 mm (4.0 in) stroke, and shares much
with the rest of the Atlas family.
The LLR also corrected the head issue found in the L52. It produces 242 hp (180 kW) at 5600 rpm and 242 lb·ft (327 N·m) at 4600 rpm. Engine redline is 6300 rpm.

It is used in the following vehicles:
2007–2012 Chevrolet Colorado
2007–2012 GMC Canyon
2007–2009 Hummer H3
2007–2008 Isuzu i-Series
