Parts used
2005 Chevy k2500 hd rear leaf spring bushing kit
Energy suspension bushing kit 3.2141G
The bad news is they do not sell the bushings individually
The good news is you get enough bushings to do 2-cross members and you also get the bushings to replace your shackle frame mount bushings.
cost 77.00 from suspension.com
if you split the cost with someone 38.50 :yup:

1/2x4 1/2 bolt
nylon lock nut
3/16x2 washer-spacer
washer
3.02 Ace Hardware

Total
41.52

More details to come

Cool; this site is such a wealth of knowledge, I wish I had enough time to tinker like that and figure out alternatives. Thanks for the info. :)

Great post Speedy! I bookmarked this for the inevitable out of warranty repair that should be happening within a year or so. :wall:

As the 3s go out of warranty, maybe Trail Duty will have to start looking at supplying this as a kit

No Beebs, will you PM to me??

Still waiting for the bushings to show up. Will I need to remove crossmember to drive out old bushings?

I ordered from another company, just got a note none in stock... :wall:

SO: I called suspension.com & talked to Bruce, great guy. He's got all the parts on-hand, and after talking with him he said he'd send out for a few sets of the larger bushings in this kit just to be packaged for H3 front diff carrier crossmember bushings.

It'll take a few weeks before he gets them in, but any of you who call him for a bushing set after this will be able to get just the two large bushings you need for the crossmember repair instead of buying the whole set.

Cris,

After thinking about it, why not send him a link to this thread, and maybe they can come up with a kit? Bushings, bolts, everything?
