NEW H3 OWNER

Postby Sdwaddell23 » Tue Jan 17, 2017 4:58 pm

Hello, I'm new to this forum and a new H3 owner. I have a question about how the H3 rides. It's a 2007 base with about 150k miles. It has stock size tires (265's) Michelin LTX ms2. The ride is very good, except when you hit a bump or something in the road it has sort of a side to side action. It's kind of like instead of feeling the bump up and down, you feel it side to side. Hopefully I'm making sence. I'm used to driving 4x4 F150's (crew cabs), so maybe the H3's just ride that way? Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Absolutely love the truck!

I have an 07 adventure version so my tires 285. I too have the ltx 2 tires. Long lasting tires. Double check your tire pressure. If it's low it will feel sloppy and if too high it will bounce you off the road. When I first got mine the dealer put 80psi in the tires. Ouch. I run them right at 40psi and very smooth. Already have about 44k miles on them and expect to get another 15 or so more.

Congratulations on the H3 and welcome to HXC. Post up some pics when you get a chance. As Bruce mentioned check the tire pressure but I would suspect if it were low enough to cause this you would have a low tire pressure warning. Another possibility would be the shocks. If they are warn depending on how you it the bump I could see you getting that affect.
