Your post is very confusing.

First, you cannot simply replace a TCM, it needs to be programmed to the vehicle. Not only with the correct software program but programmed into the serial data system so that the BCM and other modules recognize the new TCM. They are related to the VIN of the vehicle. Can't remember which process is used on an H3, but on some vehicles the VIN is programmed in by the dealer tech, some when the module is connected to the vehicle it accepts the VIN from the BCM.
Then you state you disconnected the TCM and yet you show (what looks like) the Park Neutral/Safety Switch.

If you actually disconnected the TCM under the hood, I believe it just slides into the bracket and is held by a clip. Been years since I have messed with one.

Go to this thread and go down and you will see an illustration of the TCM...

Really? I'm often wrong since I have forgotten a lot in the past few years since I have not had a H3. But it doesn't look like any wiper motor I have seen, since there is no motor attached; nor does it have the somewhat round connector. And the photo shows an aluminum ribbed structure and a bottom lip very similar to a location of an oil pan, and it has more wires into the oblong connector similar to a park/neutral switch. Imagine the picture turned about 90 degrees with the top forward.
