Rear Main Leak on H3 Alpha

I noticed a drop in oil level, about 2/3 of a quart in 5k miles, something that has never happened before. I checked the bottom end and found the oil pan and the skid rail wet. Took to my wonderful new dealer, whom checked it out during a routine service. They ultimately replaced both the rear main and the aluminum housing, leak gone. I was a bit surprised that this occurred but then again, it's the first aluminum V8 I have owned. Any other known maladies with this particular engine? By the way, did I mention my new dealer is the best?
