G Force Performance Chip

Postby Dman » Thu Aug 11, 2011 4:05 pm

I am a new H3 owner. I purchased it last month. I ran across the GF Performance chip in which the advertiser claims adding the chip will help with performance and fuel efficiency. I don't want to do anything that would mess up my hummer by throwing off the calibration or timing. And I don't want to add the chip if it will cause damage that I might not be aware of. Does anyone in the Hummer Kingdom have any first hand knowledge of these chips and how they effect the performance of a hummer? I would love to save a few bucks and increase the power, but I also don't want to cause any damage. Thanks!

Welcome to HXC and congratulations on the H3. I know there has been a chip discussed in the past but I don't think it was the G Force Performance but I could be wrong. What year H3 do you have? Most people go with the PCM 4 Less tune to get a bit more out of the I-5.

Ive got the Jet Brand Plug in chip. It works goo dand is pretty noticable but not until higher rpm range. Had i had a chance to do it over ide go and get a PCM FOR LESS tune but im done dumping money into the 3.

Are these the chips that are just a resistor that plugs into the the air temp sensor or the MAF that tells the ECM that it's colder or something and it richens up the fuel mix..??

Are you asking me or him? Mine is a "module" as they refer to it and it plug dierectly into the PCM on the firewall.
