Pictures & Trail Reports

Postby KevinA » Sun Jun 18, 2006 11:15 pm

Ive got at least 3 pics of eveeryone who did alpha hill except for the bright red h1.-> first vehicle up. One of the pictures of each are right through the drivers widow, there is a lot of funy expressions and I have already thought up captions for each. I will post them asap.

kevin

p.s. I had a great time, got my camping fix in and did get to wheel sunday in near monte cristo in Angeles National Forest.

Thank you to everyone who helped me out. How many monkeys does it take to change a tire. Well for our group the answer was 6. Thanks to Rod? for staying with me the whole time, I herd a lot of russtling in the bushes and was scared  Thanks to Jon for giving it your best, and hope your door is alright. Thanks scott for lifting my vehicle up for me. and last but not lest, I do not rememer the name but the guy in the bright red hummer for giving my truck the tug and bringing my truck back down to the ground

Hi gang. Got home a few minutes ago but not before an emergency tire repair at the rest stop west of Baker. Thanks to Bob for all the help.

More later. Have to unpack, shower, etc.

We had a terrific time this weekend! :)

When we were airing up Becky commented that the left rear tire was hissing. The girls and Bob agreed. We aired-up to 45, hit the road and decided to check pressure during the trip home.

At the rest area we could clearly see the tire was low. It was at 20 psi! After manufacturing some leak detecting bubble juice from Gatorade and shampoo ( :D ) we found the leak. A few minutes later it was plugged, back up to 45 psi, no bubbles showed and we cruised home with Bob and Linda on our tail watching for trouble.

That sure beat the heck out of changing tires and now Discount Tire can wrestle with it and fix it free. ;)

A tire repair kit and onboard air are very good to have. 8)
