JONSTITZ>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What would you think about leading us UP the hard way off Bouquet at about dusk? We could go up that way, down the easy route, then back up from Staging Area 2 on the \"hills\" and out the easy way to Bouquet! Now that'd be a run!

The second sentence contains the word \"easy\" two times.

Lemme try again then....

What would you think about leading us UP the really, really hard way off Bouquet where the H1 Alpha rolled on its side at about dusk? We could go up that really difficult and dangerous way, down the fire road route, then back up from Staging Area 2 on the evil, steep, technically difficult and potentially catastophic \"hills\" and out the easier way to Bouquet! Now that'd be a run!

Better? :o

BTW - that video only shows the trail through Last Chance Canyon. Here are some pics of the other stuff we would see and do!

The Old Dutch Cleanser Mine

Rowher - including the now famous rolled Alpha!

And I want to stress that there IS an easy bypass for this way up!

Other fun hills at Rowher...

Rowher is one of my favorite flat gravel roads with a scenic overlook.

Much better! And so long as we have bypasses around the danger everyone is happy.

Nice pics, although I'm mystified as to how that Alpha rolled. Did the driver put his left side too high on the hill? For no good reason? Maybe it's the light of the picture that doesn't show a drop on the right side ...

I've done this section many times, once with Gil (alpha owner) after it happened. Bad line -- he was too far to the left (up hill side of the hump), and then slid to where he should have been in the first place. Look at the first picture Bondage posted with the guys standing at the same gnarly spot, fold in the mirrors and take the low/sideways way. Good thing he had the roof rack. I think t's easier going up than down.

I think that's probably true - though I have only gone down it! :o  I watched you go up it with ease in your incredible machine - and I wanna try going up it!

BTW - Rod is absolutely right! :D While hills of some consequence are unavoidable at Rowher, the really tough stuff is either optional or there is another way. And having made several runs with this group now, I can honestly say that no driver is ever pressured in any way to do anything they are not comfortable with. It's about having fun with friends and family - not a macho competition! These folks are incredibly supportive, helpful, and empathetic. So come on out and enjoy the trails at your own comfort level with great comraderie and support!
