SETH C.D. We need a trip

Postby h3play » Tue Jan 19, 2010 7:32 pm

Congratulations on Director. Now having that title Seth So Cal needs an event. We need to bring everybody togather the temps are good and right now we even have snow and mud. We have not had an event since the yearly Anza Borego parade. I personally would like to meet a bunch of other Hummer owners. So if Director includes activity director lets get it going and get our chapter rocking.

I concur with H3Play's opinion that a So-Cal trip would be good. That is a great idea H3Play.

Sounds like a plan. Where would everyone like to go? We can do an easy snow run up in Big Bear or we can head out to an awesome trail in Anza Borrego. Cleghorn might be an option as well depending on how much snow is up in that area. Once we come to a decision, I will get it planned. I am thinking early to mid February.

We just did Anza.

Cleghorn is a good day trip. Maybe go in from the 138 side instead of from the 15.

Big Bear may be closed or just plain treacherous w/ all the snow and rain we just had. By February who knows. We may run into a month of 80 degree weather starting next week

options anybody :where:

Cleghorn has changed a ton since last year did it two weeks ago its a blast. Corral Canyon off the 8 in San Diego just had an overhaul jkowners and another club I heard did some good work on the trails out there about 4 weeks ago. Big Bear may be sketchy but I would still be down for it

It's closed right now due to weather, but in a month or so it'll be open.

I have been to hungry valley and would love to join you guys if you deside to go there as it is alot closer to my home then your Azusa trips. I wheeled with a few of you in Feb of 09 in Azusa, it was a 6 hour drive for me so I have been waiting for you guys to do something a little closer. If anyone in intrested in wheelin out this way just let me know I would love to join you.

I think you mean Anza, but I feel you. The Mexico border is a bit of a trip for us LA and OCers too.

Did Pronghorn as one of my first trips. It was fun but it might not be much of a challege. Miller Jeep Trail might be a challenge, I haven't done that.

I am thinking Cleghorn sounds good if it's clear. I'll call the ranger station and fin out. We haven't run it as a club yet so it will be fun. If we get done quicky, we can even try 2n17x for the brave at heart.

Seriously cleghorn backwards is a lot of fun. Pucker hill is closed too many idiots did not enter right and rolled their rigs. I would have to say some parts challenging for stock rig now. Lets do it
