From what I have read from other clubs sites. It was really slippery and muddy on 1/31/10. Last weekend it was closed due to rain.

No, the elevation is generally too low. The recent rains should make it quite interesting.

The Cleghorn exit is the one right before Hwy 138. We will meet under the overpass so as to not block the entrance to the trail.

Seth, I did Cleghorn in Feb, 2008 and we couldn't get over the top of the mountain due to all of the snow... We had to turn around... So yes it snows up there...

well, I knew it did get snow, but i have never seen it that bad. The ranger told me it wasn't snowing much at all right now. He said it's just getting a lot of rain. I will keep checking in with him as we get closer.

When we did a recovery on 2N17X in December there was some snow at the top of the trail. Nothing that would stop any wheeling though. All the rain should make the trail quite fun. I wish I could make it, but I'm instructing at the Fire Academy during the run. Have fun! 8)

It will be sweet if there is some snow. BigDog and I got to play in it last month in Yosemite.
H's do quite well on the white stuff too. :)

Trail had about 3 feet of packed snow. It was soft and deep on the sides of the trail. The H2 because of the vehicle weight, size, soft snow conditions in late afternoon was sucked into the deep stuff a couple times. We ran almost the entire trail without airing down, so probably would have avoided the traction loss if we went down in pressure earlier. After that 10psi and no issues.
