It's easy to show support on the forum. But how many will actually show up to do work? ;)

I'm a firm believer that you must really like and care about a trail to adopt it (it can be lots of work) so if it is taken maybe contact the club who handles it and volunteer socal HXC to help on their work days.

You bring up a good point. I will definitely be contacting the appropriate people to find out what SoCal HXC can do to help out. I promise you this though, we won't be helping pave any more of our favorite trails. I won't help them destroy something that brings me so much enjoyment.

I will see what he says about help needed in Big Bear. That is still my favorite area to go to. I'll see what he says about a contact for Anza as well.

Hey rich, I just noticed your new avitar. It makes me afraid of not helping. Nice choice.
I finally know my calling in life! I'm an a asshole!
I feel sorry for all the soldiers and intelligence officers who over the last century have worked hard to defeat communism, only to have it elected by "choice".

found that on the web and modified it. The entire thing is actually a cartoon of a soldier filling the humvee at a gas station with a comment about how much the "war" is costing us. I painted the soldier out and cropped it.

Time to update this....

Corral Hollow is adopted already and Lonnie seemed to know nothing about co-adoption. :duh:

I'm in the process of trying to contact the adopting club to let them know about the trail damage and offer help. Formal co-adoption is not important IMO, I'd just like to get it fixed and help in the future. I'm hoping to set up a time to run CH on the sunday after our run on the 16th to preview the damage with one of more of their club members. Lonnie wants to come along if he's free.

Lonnie mentioned another trail in need of adoption thats kind of off radar so to speak and invited us to check it out. I was driving when I talked to him so I couldn't write it down and have forgotten the name of it. We are finsihing our convo via email so I'll have more info soon. It's more difficult than CH but thats probably a good thing. I do know the trail head is down nearer the district ranger office in arnold (???).

Sewie, wanna try and figure out who currently adopts corral hollow? I tried to google it and came up empty.

As a side note - NorCal HXC will soon be a member of CA4WDC.

Bebe thinks its Esprit de Four, a club out of San Jose. But their website shows their AAT as Mattley Ridge/Loop, which starts at the south end of CH. But they do mention opening CH in several trip reports.

Thats them. well, at least thats who Lonnie thinks is the adopting club. I'll check again but don't think they are listed on CA4WDC's website to get contact info.
