Postby kuda007 » Wed Aug 02, 2006 1:02 pm

I i'm in the PHX area, but looking to go out and get my feet wet on some trailz. I'm new to offroading and such but would like to test the truck without destroying it because of my n00btastic skillz. Any suggestions?

I know a few Hummer owners in Maricopa County and will drop them a line and ask them to visit this thread.

Anybody else here know some owners there? What say we all email our contacts and ask them to join the forum? With all the Hummers in Phoenix we could probably put together a club chapter.

If nothing else, Kuda, if you want to meet in Kingman for a weekend, I'm game. There are some nice trails there and I know a local guy that would be more than happy to lead.

Very good book. Sometimes it over-rates the trails so keep that in mind. Dealer gatherings are a good place to meet other off-road Hummer enthusiasts but not such a great place for challenging off-roading. They tend to choose trails that are on the simple side.

You could always just meet up with the NV/CA crew for the Mojave Road run?? :yup:

Looks like the Mojave Road will be run New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

here is a link to the Mojave Road thread

http://hummerxclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=704

And its only 206 miles from Phoenix to Needles, CA, which is near the starting point of the run. :yup:

I thought the run was cemented in stone

Ive got my reservations for the Bun Boy V.I.P. room.

We can have the Mad Greek cater the whole deal.

And climb the thermometer just to shoot bottle rockets from the top!

Plus, I have my shiny penny ready for the can and my frog sculpture ready to leave behind too.

DISCLAIMER: kuda007, disregard all of this, we really are normal people   :duh:
