here in So Cal, there are lots of good trails in the Big Bear/Arrowhead area. My favorites are:
John Bull, Dishpan Springs, Holcolm Creek, 2N17X

In Moab, I'd say Pritchett Cyn is pretty balls crazy for wide, long wheel base vehicles like ours.

Coyote Canyon because it has several great types of terrain. It has desert sprints, several water crossings, and a bunch of rock garden climbing. Very fun stuff.

My other favorite is Dishpan Springs.

My favorite trail? HHMMM.... Living in New England means that most of what I drive is private land.
There are some public roads that are still open and on the books and those that have sustained the most natural damage without being maintained over the last 50-100 years are the ones that are the most fun.
I'll break my answer into two parts. Public Favorite and Private Favorite. I'll even then go and break it again.
Public Favorite would have to be Old Florida Rd. Its long for us New Englanders, nearly 4 miles. It has lots of rock and several large ledges. A group of 10 modified rigs (say on 35s and at least one locker) will take most of the day to traverse those 4 miles.
In terms of Private, I'd say in terms of challenge, my fave is Trail in Vane. It is a glacial erratic, just filled with boulders. Its only 85 acres but a group of 20 rigs, all set up running 36s or larger, locked F&R will spend 8 hours and not do the same thing twice.
Private scenic would have to be the Ranch. Upstate NY near the high peaks. Sitting on a granite ledge looking out over mountains and valleys beyond is awe inspiring.

you are right -- maybe it would be less painfull to sift through if there was a simple blank teplate to cut/paste/fill in -- like:

-trail name:
-location:
-difficulty (scale of 1 to 10):
-brief description of terrain:
-vehicle driven on trail:

etc...

I would rate the Rubicon out in Cali as probably my "favorite" for the beauty factor. That said, it is a PITA! for Hummers (and Xterras) as well as any other lightly modified 4x4. And "rushing" through it in a group of Hummers (and an Xterra) takes aways your ability to enjoy the scenery. I would do that trail again as a rider in a modified rig in a heart beat...but I would never drive it again. 8)

Also, Poison Spider in Moab, and Bill Moore like in Colorado have to rate highly for me because they are scenic...and in the mild-moderate range (mild for modified, moderate for stock). Although, being that I sold my Xterra...I don't expect to do them again in the near future. 8)

Nah...sold the 240sx about a year ago. It just sat in the driveway all the time so I figured there was no reason to keep it.

Can we please keep this thread on topic? Thanks. 8)
