i guess it was our third day of wheelin that it started smellin really bad , nav noticed it the day before . on our second day of runnin with clubinc we stoped for lunch and i spent about half an hour playing with bailey , one of mrs. Bullies bull dogs . after we finished eating we continued on the trail , i started to notice a sorta B.O. / dead animal smell in my truck . i thought it was from petting the dog so much and then maybe the smell had gotten into my steering wheel , it just got worse and worse . nav made me leave the windows down all night and it still smelled funky in the morning . so the 3rd day came and went and the smell was just getting worse and worse , i mean eye watering smelly

it was our 4th day and we had a cool group of blacksheep to run poison spider trail , and i lead it . by this 4th day the truck was pretty foul , so i was running with all my windows down . just about at the end of the high speed mesa sam radioed and asked why i had all the windows down . i said " i think i petted the dog too much on hells revenge and now i cant get the smell out " then i proceded to tell sam about nav saying the truck smelled funny and made me leave the windows down all night .

one thing i left out is sam works in radio and gets lots of entertainment merchandise to give away to callers etc. he had brought us some MR. woodcock shirts (movie promotion material) along with tons of other cool stuff .

so after telling sam about the prior three days of progressivly worse stinch , he started bustin up , and asked " could it be the Mr.woodcock air freshener that i hid in your truck " i came to a screaching stop on the trail and literaly fell out of my truck laughin . then i rolled around on the ground with tears of laughter running down my cheeks . this was the best practical joke i have ever seen on the trail and it was 4 days in the making at this point .

sammy you got me good

Reminds me of the time we put a pack of anchovies (sp?) in a "friends" truck. We tucked them in the spring work of the bench seat. He couldn;t find the origin and we didn't fess up. He sold the truck. :yup:

Hey Neo
Yeah, you busted me, that was the Sturgis Hillclimb from 06, On Jan 10th and the 27th they showed the Calif Hillclimb which is the Season Opener every year. We do 7 of those each year and the World Championships in Decazville, France which is strictly an invitational Event with a huge purse, that as a team the good old USA cleans their clocka. Hows everything in beautiful downtown Moab? Mary and I can't wait to come back this year. Hey, I am toying around with the idea of putting in a Front Locker, but I don't know if it is worth the money and labor, what are your thoughts. :D :D :D

everythings great in town 8) got a big group coming in about 5 weeks :D you know the routine 8)

front lockers are really nice , i would do it , they really help the front pull . Phil had one in his H2 , he could answer any questions you have better than i can .

i think a wheelin-chick we both know is putting one in her H3 ;) 8) 8) i may end up copying her at some point down the road .
