Laptop GPS

Postby BAMBAM » Tue Apr 28, 2009 5:02 pm

Does anyone have a good site to go to for a saftware pack I can buy for my laptop. I do not want to buy a hole system because it is a lot of money. Plus in the military we used laptops. Now I need one for my personal laptop for wheeling. I want to beable to put in LAT. and Long.
I know this site has some military people on it and have the hook up. Please help a DAV out....

There is a thread in the non-club events about the NVTR that is high on the Delorne 7.0
check it out.

You need delorme topo and a gps reciever. Everything should be under $150 or less if you only buy the side of the states you live on.

Heres a good thread on it viewtopic.php?f=29&t=8096&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=laptop

BTW - you may want to hold off on that software. Rumor has it delorme is making topo that is routable. i.e. it will give turn by turn directions for trails like a street nav software would do.

Really....hummmm. I will hold off then. Me and the wife are doing the wheeling for the wounded in CO and we both wanted a GPS to help us out. That is why I was aking. First time for the H to go off road in its life. I hate it when people buy these things and never take it off the Highway at all. :wall:
