Attention Yahoo, Hotmail, GMail, Etc Users

If you use a service like Yahoo, Hotmail, Google, etc for your email please check your spam folder and settings. I have noticed lately that a lot of the bounced emails are going to these accounts so you might be missing email notifications. This is also very important for new members that have just registered. If your email service is blocking mail from hummerxclub.com you will not get the activation email after you sign up and when you email me to check on it you won't get my response either.

I also recommend doing this for all free web based emails you may have. Add hummerxclub.com as a safe domain address or just check an email and mark it as not spam. That away future messages will travel safely to your inbox.

Yeah, I noticed that about a week ago. The spam filter is catching 50% of my "good" mail.

Just put a new post in this thread to bring it to the attention of any new members that might be having trouble getting on. I just received an email from somebody else that didn't get their activation email and most likely won't get my responding email. Check your spam folder as it might be there and if you have the ability add anything coming from hummerxclub.com to your safe list so will receive the emails.

The board was somehow hacked. I received an email below that was sent from webmaster@hummerxclub.com. It's possible that someone got a list of the members of this forum.

Hello flashoffroad,

You have received a new private message from "Pavelnjp" to your account on "Hummer X Forum" with the following subject:

Selection of a bouquet

You can view your new message by clicking on the following link:

ucp.php?i=pm&mode=view&p=55386

You have requested that you be notified on this event, remember that you can always choose not to be notified of new messages by changing the appropriate setting in your profile.

Hummer X Club

The link leads to a message on this board about buying flowers.

Thanks for letting me know. We have gotten hit with spam bots hard the past week, deleted probably 5,000 spam posts this morning alone. Was there an actual PM?

Spammer created that account but didn't post any messages. The account has been deleted and the IP banned. If anybody got a PM from this user please let me know.

Just changed the anti spam registration question earlier today, hopefully that will help. Have deleted well over 6,000 spam messages in recent days :wall:
