hummer h3 crossmember bushing movement

Postby bigboy » Sat Jul 18, 2015 9:14 pm

Hi all!! Just wondering if this kind of movement in the video a normal movement of the bushing or is the bushing damaged that it makes this kind of movement? Any input on this matter is highly appreciated.

Standard issue front crossmember bushing wear on an H3. Mine is not that bad but the exposed edges of the center rubber bushing have broken off already. The current options I know of are either a factory replacement, though I heard you must purchase the entire crossmember, OR this http://www.outfitterdesign.com/do-it-yourself-front-differential-bushing-kit.html . I am purchasing the latter soon. I also read that there was a shop who would send you a rebuilt crossmember with a urethane bushing already pressed in after you gave them your core, but I don't know if they still offer that...Scorpion4x4 I believe.
