Nasty a$$ fuel pump..

I can't imagine why the fuel line was leaking....

900 bucks to drop the tank and new fuel pump. Only 300 bucks this way, plus when I'm done. I'll have an access door if any thing else goes wrong with the pump...

Good idea. Looks like it's out of a vehicle a lot older than 10 years.

Lol you should see the locking ring after I got it off, had to cut it, bend up the outer part and push the ring towards the center at each lock point to get it off, MAJOR PITA! :wall:
Not to mention the 10min. With a very strong magnet on a string fishing around the bottom of the tank getting out all the rust that couldn't help but falling into the tank...
All in all it turned out really good, I managed to cut the "hole" and NOT destroy any of the stuff under the floor pan... :D
I'll have to post the final stages. Including the new pump with the thick layer of open gear lube I sprayed on it. Lol after that treatment that pump and lock ring could be submerged in the Dead Sea for a few hundred years and not get a speck of rust on it....

Nice job and good idea with the magnet to get the rush out. Save yourself some work down the road.
