This just doesn't seem real, I wish it wasn't true. :( We already miss you, Rich.

Update:

23 donors, $1900

As mentioned previously, I'll accept donations through the 15th. Dave@ BlueHummer.com

We received a request from Rich's wife regarding the memorial service. HumBebe, please check your PM's.

I don't know how to get a hold of Bebe otherwise, so if anyone talks to her, can you please alert her to the PM here?

Thanks!

I just got an e-mail from Rich's wife:

Hi Jacquelyne,

I was just checking on the caravan for Sat., people planning to join should be here around 9:45am . I will have FUNERAL stickers for the Hummers to keep the caravan together. You might remind everyone to turn their headlights on for the ride to the service. Rich's H1 will be driven by Dan Langhoff (Beavis). Ray Romeo will also ride in Rich's H1 and will have Rich's urn. He will carry it into the church after everyone else has entered, but before the immediate family enters.

If you could post this on Hummerx for the people who are coming, I would appreciate it.

Love to you all,

H.

Just some random thoughts..

Not sure if it's morbid of not, but that's a cool ass hearse.. Prolly won't look at another black H1 the same way again though..

A couple of years ago we were up in CO with some friends, we were sitting around on top of Red Cone and someone was joking about falling off from up there and you'd be a perminate fixture on the mountian.. About half jokingly I said, "wouldn't matter much, I wanted my ashes tossed from up here anyway.." Not sure anymore if I was joking or not..

Anyroads.. What are the plans for his ashes..?

On another note, several years back when I was doing a bit more motorcycling a friend of mine passed on.. Never let it said that bikers don't come up with some creative ideas for funerals.. Some of his ashes were placed in front of the local Harley Davidson dealership.. Some were placed in a sealed container and welded to the frame of his motorcycle that he'd left to his daughter.. For everyone that was willing, a small pinch of his ashes were placed in the fuel tanks of everyone riding in the funeral procession from the dealership over to his favorite bar where he bought everyone the "last round".. He was also a Navy guy, so the rest of his ashes are out in the Atlantic..

Rich's wife Harriet jut sent another note addressed to the Members of HXC:

Dear HXC

Thank you all for your kind posts, your generous contributions, and your lasting friendship.

My kids and I appreciate all that you have done to help us through this difficult time.

Rich cared very much for all of you and HXC was his home away from home.

Bless you all for being there for all of us..................

Kindest Regards,

Harriet

If I can get everyone to send me pics to bebehumr at gmail dot com - I would greatly appreciate it. I'm putting together a movie for his family and friends. The higher the resolution the better, but I can make anything work.
