Here is a link to a donation page set up by Dave Breggin of Blue Hummer Outfitters. 100% of the donations will go directly to the family. Dave, thanks for setting this up. And for those that don't know Dave Breggin personally, he is a man of his word and has been helping out the Hummer community for a very long time now.

I am shocked to the core. Rich was a great friend and a huge asset to the Hummer community and this club. I am sad to lose Rich both personally and for the loss to the club. I had the pleasure of wheeling with Rich and spending time with him while on business. I sometimes travel to the Bay area on business and he was always up for meeting for lunch and giving tips for seeing the amazing sights. He had a heart for helping others and enjoying life. This place will not be the same without him.

There are many ways in which Rich touched my life, some of which I would like to share on HXC.

Rich and I met via the internet, and he and his wife were the first people we actually met in person after first becoming friends on the internet.

If I had not met Rich, I doubt that I would have ever:

Waterskied behind his jet boat.

Fly fished on the Russian River.

Bought a Hummer.

Sipped wine in Napa.

Saw Staind in concert.

Join HXC.

Hiked into Blue canyon and taste spotted dick.

Buy a Winnebago.

Rich was a true friend to me, and I miss him dearly. We shared a lot of thoughts and experiences in the few years that I knew him, that I feel as though I have known him a lifetime.

He was like a brother to me, always looking out for me, the mechanically-challenged one.

The first time I met Rich, the car we owned at the time battery died and he drove me 30 plus miles to get a new one and help install it.

On a Hummer trip to Pismo Beach, he meticulously installed my off-road lights with incredible precision.

He was in the Hummer behind me on Hell's revenge on Moab, helping to tow my Hummer from a precarious and dangerous position.

Brother Rich, you will be missed more than words convey, your legacy is part here at HXC where you gave your invaluable drive, input and guidance to help shape what this place has become.

Rest in Peace now Rich, you have no more worries or demons to slay.

Your work here is done.

But your memories will always remain.

I wish I had more pics of Rich, in this one he was pissed at me, he knew he was frelled. He hated heights and I conned him into that tower thing at disney. We laughed about that for a long time after that. Jacquelyne doesn't look like she was into it either.

I prolly have some more rich pics, such a tragic loss
