Long Ranch
September 23, 2006
|
Fourteen vehicles made it out to Long Ranch in Llano, Texas for a great day of wheelin'.
Long Ranch is an excellent facility with everything from moderate trails to axle destroying rock climbs. A big thanks goes to Joe Long for taking the time to show us around his place. Despite the threat of rain, the weather was great and the cloud cover helped control the heat. |

The two H1 Alpha's ate up the trails and were impressive to watch. Every H3 ended up with a bent rear license tag, and there were a few brush marks on just about every vehicle, a few more on the the wider H1's and H2's, than the H3's.
There was a little damage on the trail, H3 front diff, H2 half shaft, H1 half shaft, two H2 tires, and a few dents and scrapes here and there, but everyone was grinning as they drove away at the end of the day. |

A big thanks to everyone that came out and helped keep the day running smoothly and took everything in their stride. A special thanks to the "yellow shirts" for working hard all day. Special thanks again to Joe Long for taking the time to show us around. Long Ranch willl definitely be a regular venue and offers great potential for some first class wheelin'.
