Hummer X Club "Hummer Heat"
September 10, 2005
|
Five vehicles (2 H2's, 1 H3 and 2 Jeeps) made this a small event with plenty of time to spend on the obstacles.
The rain held off and the Den stayed dry all day until we left. The trail was mostly dry, the rocks were dry, but covered in dry mud and gravel. No vehicle got stuck all day, although the Rubicon needed a little help from it's winch to finish Tim's Rock.

The first obstacle of the day, Tim's Rock, was a cake walk for the H2 which went straight up, followed by two Jeeps. Both Jeeps and a H2 tackled The Launchpad successfully and some new obstacles were tried in the Rock Garden and at Picture Rock by a Jeep and a H2.
The H3 did very well and successfully completed everything it tried. As always the Rubicon proved what a great performer a stock vehicle can be out of the box. |

There was no vehicle damage, apart from the usual rock rash and brush marks and a good time was had by all. Although, it's likely that an alignment or two may be needed. We definitely found some more obstacles for the more adventurous drivers and look forward to trying them out again next time. A big thanks to everyone that came out and helped the day run smoothly. Special thanks to Bill and Seth for their spotting work and keeping everyone safe.
